Biosketch
Rebecca Reardon-Lochbaum, MD, received her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in both chemistry and art history. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine, and is currently completing her general surgery residency at Boston Medical Center/Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She is currently appointed as a departmental research fellow, pursuing basic and translational science characterizing the genomic and biomolecular underpinnings of pancreatic cancer, with the goal of identifying early biomarkers that can be utilized for more efficacious screening and detection. Additionally, she acts as research coordinator for Street Medicine Kalamazoo, designing projects, mentoring medical students, and strengthening the research program of the group in order to disseminate and operationalize their unique practice methodology.
