Kiersten Walsworth, MD, is a resident physician in the Obstetrics and Gynecology program at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in human biology from the Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University. Upon graduating, she took a gap year to continue her employment at a transitional living center in Lansing, MI, where she worked with unhoused youth. Afterwards, she moved to Detroit where she completed her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include healthcare disparities affecting vulnerable populations, medical anthropology, and the management of critically ill patients with gynecologic malignancies.
