Biosketch

Eva Bertsche, MD, is a resident physician in emergency medicine at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine. Before earning her medical degree, she worked as an ER nurse at a level one trauma center and in international disaster relief, experiences that deepened her passion for emergency care and inspired her to pursue medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cedarville University and her Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine. She enjoys teaching students, and her clinical interests include disaster relief medicine, emergency medical services and tactical emergency medical support (EMS/TEMS), and wilderness medicine, with a focus on the delivery of care in austere and resource-limited environments.
