Ashwini Sowrirajalu, MD, is a physician with training in obstetrics and gynecology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India, where she also earned her Diplomate of National Board (DNB) certification. She completed her MBBS at SDM Medical College and stood in the top 2% of NEET-PG examinees nationally. Dr. Sowrirajalu has held clinical roles including Junior Consultant at Motherhood Hospital and Senior Resident at Sagar Hospitals, Jayanagar. She has extensive experience in maternal health, having delivered over 2,000 babies and performed numerous surgical procedures during her residency. She has been recognized with multiple awards, including the JSOG Congress Encouragement Award (Japan), the Consortium of Global Health Essay Prize (USA), and several national-level academic honors in India. In addition to her clinical work, she has led educational initiatives focused on women's health, mental health, and public awareness, particularly for underserved populations. She is currently a family medicine resident in the United States, where her clinical, teaching, and research interests include women's health, gynecologic oncology, medical education, and community-based preventive care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Sowrirajalu is a passionate artist and educator. She teaches children online in sketching, dance, and music, and enjoys creating performances and content for social media. She also has a love for sports, especially basketball, and values cultural exchange, having presented and won awards in both Japan and the U.S.
