Biosketch
Julia Raffo, DO, is a psychiatry resident physician at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her undergraduate studies in marketing at Loyola University Chicago and pursued postbaccalaureate training at the University of Southern California. Prior to entering medicine, she held leadership roles in marketing and analytics at major retailers including Etsy, Williams-Sonoma, and Gap Inc. Her clinical and research interests include forensic psychiatry, adolescent mental health, and care for vulnerable and marginalized populations. She has a strong commitment to medical education and health equity, and her volunteer work spans LGBTQ advocacy, food access, and pandemic response.
