There was no shortage of research activity among WMed faculty in 2024.
Faculty members published more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles during 2024, according to Scopus data. Journal articles spanned a variety of medical specialties, including Biomedical Informatics; Biomedical Sciences; Emergency Medicine; Family and Community Medicine; Investigative Medicine; Medicine; Medical Education; Medical Ethics, Humanities, and Law; Pathology; Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine; Psychiatry; and Surgical Sciences.
"We're very much on par with other medical institutions of our size," said Liz Lorbeer, EdM, chair of the medical school’s Department of Medical Library.
In total, research activity among WMed faculty in 2024 included:
- 217 peer-reviewed journal articles
- 2 books (author or editor)
- 9 book chapters
