Biosketch

Nicole A Phillips, MD, is a board-certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Brown University and her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency training at Harvard Plastic Surgery, serving as Chief Resident at Massachusetts General Hospital. During residency, she was elected as the integrated resident representative by her Harvard classmates; she was also named to the editorial board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as one of three resident representatives selected from a national pool of applicants. Following graduation, she completed two fellowships in aesthetic surgery: one at Pacific Private Hospital in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia; and one with Dr. Jennifer Walden in Austin, Tx. She joined the staff at Corewell Health South in 2020 and has been the Section Leader for Plastic Surgery for CHS since 2023. She has published a number of articles examining the intersection of gender dynamics and surgical training. She performed the first gender affirming procedures at Corewell Health South and is proud to be a safe and affirming care provider for all patient populations.
