Biosketch

Kimberly Umhoefer, D.O., R.P.V.I. is a board certified internal medicine physician. She returned to school after working as a registered nurse for ten years to obtain her medical degree from Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr Umhoefer completed her internal medicine residency at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's and went on to obtain her certification as a registered physician in vascular interpretation. She ran a very successful private practice for over 10 years providing both inpatient and outpatient care while also working as a testing physician in a cardiac lab allowing her to supervise and perform stress tests and interpret various cardiac and vascular procedures. Dr Umhoefer other experiences include being Chief of Medical Staff, providing hospice, nursing home, and in home patient care. She was also a clinical adjunct professor for Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her clinical, teaching, and research interests include medical education and preventative healthcare.
