Biosketch
Carlos Oliveira, PsyD, is a clinical neuropsychologist. He is a graduate of the American Psychological Association (APA) accredited clinical psychology doctoral program at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. He completed an APA-accredited internship with specialization in neuropsychology at the Sierra Nevada Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Other training activities included work in a skilled nursing facility at the medical center and an outpatient clinic serving Veterans with severe mental illness. After internship, he completed a two-year APA and Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (APPCN) accredited residency in clinical neuropsychology at the Battle Creek Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He is currently a clinical neuropsychologist at Bronson Methodist Hospital in the Bronson Neuroscience Center and the Bronson Neurobehavioral Lakeview outpatient clinics in Kalamazoo and Paw Paw, respectively. His clinical, teaching, and research interests include but not limited to the early detection of Alzheimer's disease, neuroanatomical correlates and neurocognitive tests, cognitive impairment due to medical conditions, functional neurological disorder, and cognitive dysfunction in post-traumatic stress disorder and severe mental illness.
