Orkideh Olang, MD, is a resident physician with the Family Medicine Residency Program - Battle Creek at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. During medical school, Dr. Olang was an active member of the International Federation of Medical Students Association (IFMSA)-Iran and took part in enhancing medical students’ soft skills as well as improving health literacy among general population. Prior her residency, Dr. Olang worked with multiple primary care physicians in the US and Canada, as an assistant. Moreover, she was senior scribe and data annotator at Mutuo Health Solutions which provides AI-powered automated clinical documentations in Canada. Dr. Olang has a strong interest in medical education, functional medicine, lifestyle medicine, as well as working with underserved patient populations.
