Maya M Hammoud, MD

Biosketch

Maya Hammoud, MD, is a general surgery resident at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. She completed both her undergraduate and medical school education at the University of Michigan. During medical school, she held a number of leadership positions in medical education, pipeline programs such as Doctors of Tomorrow and LEAGUES, and groups that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, such as Medical Arabic. Her research interests include health outcomes and policy in bariatric surgery and opioid-prescribing practices.
