Biosketch
Rajasumi Rajalingam, MD, MSc, is a resident physician in the Psychiatry Residency Program at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Human Biology and minors in Fine Arts History and Biology from the University of Toronto. Following this undergraduate education, she pursued her medical degree at Saint James School of Medicine. Subsequently, she earned her Master of Science degree from the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Toronto. Her master's thesis focused on combining deep brain stimulation and rehabilitation to improve independent mobility in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. She has authored over 20 research publications and has presented her work at national and international conferences. Her clinical and research interests include mental health, neuropsychiatry, health-related quality of life, rehabilitation, and neuromodulation therapies.
