Kapila Kommareddy, MD, is a General Surgery resident in the Department of Surgical Services at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She received her bachelor's degree from the Pennsylvania State University, and earned her medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University as part of a combined BS/MD program. Her current interests include medical education, and studying disparities in relation to surgical outcomes.
