Dimitar Bahariev, MD, is a resident physician in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Following his graduation, he was a volunteer for several months in Bulgaria during the COVID-19 pandemic. Afterwards, he was a part of two clinical trials, one investigating the effectiveness of a new factor XI inhibitor and the other investigating a new lipid-lowering medication. His clinical interests include critical care, pulmonary medicine, and sepsis.
