Daniel VanZweden, MD, is a general surgery resident. He completed his BS in Chemical engineering from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, and went on to spend a year teaching in Bolivia. He then completed medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he also served as a service learning representative and researcher. His research interests include service learning, medical devices, and global health.
