Cynthia Bane, PhD, is a social and health psychologist with Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, Kalamazoo, Michigan. She is a graduate of Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. She earned both a master's degree and a doctorate degree in social psychology with a focus in applied health psychology from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Dr. Bane is an experienced educator and researcher in the fields of health psychology and social psychology. Her research and teaching interests are health psychology, social psychology, and medical education. Prior to working at WMed, Dr. Bane held a faculty position in the Department of Psychology at Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa.
