Dale Vandré, PhD, is the former Associate Dean for Research at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, as well as Chair and Professor of the Department of Biomedical Sciences. He retired in 2020. He is a graduate of University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. He earned his doctorate in biochemistry from University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
Dr. Vandré came to WMed from Ohio State University's College of Medicine, where he served as the vice chair of the physiology and cell biology department, assistant dean for foundational science, and director of the integrated pathway program.
A biochemist and cell biologist, Dr. Vandré earned his PhD from the University of Iowa. He was an active researcher in the cellular and molecular biology of cancer, with consistent research funding from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation.
