Biosketch
Dr. Michael Trexler is the program director of the WMED Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship, as well as the Palliative Care Medical Director at Ascension-Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. He is a graduate of Houghton College and the University of Rochester School of Medicine (NY). After completing Internal Medicine residency at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (OH), he served as a staff internist there until 2003. After moving to MI to be a hospitalist at Borgess Medical Center (MI), he later started the Palliative Care inpatient consultation program in 2008, including providing clinical rotations for growing numbers of students, residents and fellows. Dr. Trexler enjoys his family, photography, camping, and traveling (including prior medical mission trips to the Caribbean, Central America, and Africa).
