Biosketch
Nathan Mollberg, DO, is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with Bronson Cardiothoracic Surgery Specialists in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Dr. Mollberg had a family member who went through having surgery for a cancer, which drove him to become a physician and his desire to help people. He was moved by how much impact the surgeon had not just on his family member, but the family as a whole. He has a special interest in thoracic oncology.
Dr. Mollberg is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. He completed a general surgery residency with University of Illinois at Chicago Mount Sinai Hospital, during which he took a year break to complete a research fellowship in molecular oncology with University of Heidelberg in Heidelberg, Germany. He went on to also complete a residency in cardiothoracic surgery with University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington.
