Biosketch

Garcia Findlay, MD, is a general surgery resident at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and subsequently completed her medical education before beginning postgraduate training in general surgery. She is currently completing her surgical residency at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, where she is engaged in the clinical care of patients across a broad range of surgical specialties. Her professional interests include surgical education, mentorship, health equity, and improving the delivery of high-quality surgical care to diverse and underserved patient populations. She is particularly interested in developing as both an academic surgeon and surgical educator, with a focus on excellence in clinical practice, teaching, and mentorship.
