Biosketch

Oreste Romeo, MD, is a board-certified trauma surgeon with Bronson Trauma Surgical Services in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Dr. Romeo was inspired by his father, a head and neck surgeon, to choose a career in surgery. He greatly respected his father's caring and compassionate approach to patient care along with his passion and superior technical skill. Dr. Romeo discovered his passion for trauma in medical school. He finds great reward in assisting a trauma victim through their entire sequence of care.

Dr. Romeo earned his medical degree from University of Messina, School of Medicine and Surgery in Messina, Italy. He completed an internship with University of California-San Diego/Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California, then went on to complete a general surgery residency with Michigan State University Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which is also where he completed a fellowship in surgical critical care.
