Biosketch
Melinda Abernethy, MD, MPH, is an associate professor specializing in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and School of Public Health. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan, followed by a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Northwestern University. From 2014-2018 she was an Assistant Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where she served as the FPMRS Fellowship Associate Program Director. Her clinical, teaching and research interests include pelvic floor disorders, Muellerian anomalies, and sexual health.
